Invitation to Submit Scientific Abstracts

 

The Malaysian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (MAOMS) cordially invites submissions of original research and case reports for presentation at the 30th MAOMS Annual Scientific Conference 2026. All submissions will undergo review by the Scientific Program Committee. Accepted abstracts may be considered for publication in the Malaysian Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (MJOMS).

Abstract Categories & Structure

1. Original Research (Oral Presentation)

 

Structure: Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions.

Word Limit: Maximum 300 words.

 

2. Case Report (E-Poster Presentation)

 

Structure: Introduction, Case Report, Conclusions.

Word Limit: Maximum 200 words.

Submission Requirements

  • Abstracts must be original and not previously published.
  • No abbreviations permitted in the abstract text.
  • All authors must be aware of and approve the submission.
  • Presenter must be listed first; main supervisor/consultant listed last.
  • Presenter must register for the conference upon acceptance.

Important Dates

  • Abstract Submission Opens: Upon official announcement.
  • Abstract Submission Deadline: 31st March 2026 (12 Midnight, MYT).
  • Notification of Acceptance: On or before 20th April 2026.
  • Conference Date & Venue: 1-3 May 2026, Grand Swiss-Belhotel, Malacca, Malaysia

Publication & Recognition

 

Accepted abstracts will be eligible for publication in the Malaysian Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (MJOMS). Best Oral Presentation and Best E-Poster awards will be presented during the conference.
